ART & CODE, MERGING THESE OFTEN OPPOSING ELEMENTS INTO A MEANINGFUL AND MEMORABLE USER-EXPERIENCE IS WHAT WE LOVE TO DO

With over a decade spent making all kinds of digital things we formed Opposite in May 2011 to create apps. Initially, we are focusing on the iOS market, but we have the chops to develop for many platforms. What matters to us is working with bright people to create something meaningful. That’s why we love talking with entrepreneurs, agencies, and other companies about teaming up. If you’re looking for a digital partner we’d love to chat. Email us

INSIDE OPPOSITE

Opposite is composed of what you might call the key-ingredients for any digital production, a designer and an engineer. When the situation requires it, we call on a wide range of specialists like sound designers, writers, programmers, QC guys, and so on. But as a rule, affordability is big for us, so we like to stay small. Brian is the creative guy and Nathan is the programmer. In many ways they are opposites. But they find a lot of common ground when it comes to creating great work in the digital space.

BRIAN LINDER - DESIGNER/FOUNDER

Brian LinderBrian is that odd duck creative guy who is always hanging out with the engineers. Driven by a passion for making cool things Brian formed Opposite after spending 12 years in the digital marketing world where he was a creative director/principal for the national ad agency The Richards Group/Click Here.

Brian has worked with a wide range of brands including Game Stop, Amstel Light, TiVo, Patron Tequila, Exxon Mobil, Nokia, the Other White Meat, Sub-Zero, Travelocity and many more. He’s conceived and designed hundreds of digital products including e-commerce sites, microsites, advergames, social media widgets, mobile apps, mobile sites, rich media ads, viral videos and on and on. He’s always looking for the perfect way to match the right idea with the right technology.

With Opposite, Brian stays prety busy throughout the life of each project. He handles idea-generation, user experience planning, project management, interface design, graphic design, writing, identity design, illustration, user testing and promotion.

Brian’s work has been recognized by The One Show, OMMA, and Graphis. While recognition is great Brian knows it’s all about making the user happy. Over the years, he has developed a keen sense for carrying great ideas all the way through to wonderful user-experiences.

NATHAN CLARK - LEAD ENGINEER

Nathan ClarkNathan is uncommon in the field of software engineering in that he’s obsessed with high design and great user experiences. A multi-faceted developer, Nathan has worked with just about every piece of emerging tech. Much of that is due to the fact that he’s one of those unique programmers who just seems to be able to figure out anything he gets his hands on.

He has spent over a decade writing code for an astounding array of technologies. After several years of writing sever-management applications Nathan moved on to The Richards Group where he led a team of programmers dedicated to bringing the agency’s digital dreams to life.

He has a patent-pending for his work re-inventing the gift card for Home Depot. With this gift card application Nathan created an augmented reality experience fused with a product search engine. The project garnered write-ups from The New York Times and others for being one of the first “actually useful” uses of augmented reality.

From online reward programs to digital charity drives Nathan has created applications for Salvation Army, Chick-fil-a, Amstel Light and many others. Nathan was keen to apply his skills to the growing field of mobile app development. So, he joined Brian in the formation of Opposite.
